Frequently Asked Questions
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a deep meditative state where the conscious, critical mind has been bypassed. While a person is in that state, the gateway to the subconscious mind is wide open, suggestions are easily accepted, thus any programming in the subconscious mind can be altered for better results in life, fears can be released, habits changed, addictions vanished, etc…
How does it work
During the session, the therapist will guide you through a process to induce a trance-like state that helps you focus your mind, respond more readily to suggestions, and become deeply relaxed. Hypnotherapy utilizes the heightened awareness of the hypnotic state to help you focus on a problem more deeply.
Can hypnosis override your free will?
Never, in the session you are always in control, always aware, you have the choice to refuse anything that is against your values, against your cultural morals, or anything that you consider inappropriate. You can stop the session upon your own decision at your own time and pace.
What do you feel while in hypnosis?
In the session, you will feel relaxed, although relaxation is not hypnosis, for me hypnosis is getting into a trance, which is like being in a deep meditative state. In the session, you are aware of everything around you, never asleep, except if your body needs it, you are never in a coma. Hypnosis is only the sleep of your nervous system, and most importantly you will be in a comfortable, blissed place.
Does hypnosis work for any problem?
Yes, it does. I can help you only if you are seeking a change in your life, willing to change a habit that is working against you, willing to release a fear that is blocking your path to success, willingness and readiness are key to change.
To invest in your transformational journey, you will need the commitment, the time, and the money.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Yes, every person can be hypnotized to a certain extent. Some people reach there faster than others. Some go deeper than others, and the most important thing is the willingness, and readiness to let go and allow the acceptance of the flow of suggestions.
Referring to researchers, people are classified as high, medium, or low, but the majority 80% to 85 % will fall in the medium range.
With SP, Ines adjusted her induction to reach all people that are willing to go into hypnosis.
Is hypnosis safe? Can the hypnotist make me do things against my will?
Hypnosis, when induced and deepened by a trained hypnotherapist is safe. What is not safe is receiving suggestions unknowingly like in movies, ads, speeches, etc…. that can work against you
While hypnotized, you are always in control. The hypnotist can never make you do things against your will, ethics, and morals. In hypnosis, you are open to suggestions; suggestions that should only serve your best interest. It is very critical to choose the right words, in the present tense, and in the affirmative form. In hypnosis, you can never be stuck at any moment. If you wish, you can just stop the session. If the therapist leaves the room, you are able to emerge on your own. Hypnosis is safe, effective, quick, and can produce great results.
In my opinion, everyone can benefit from hypnosis.
My mission is to spread awareness about that powerful tool that can be performed in the comfort of your own home.
Is it necessary to relive the event that caused or affected the problem you want to resolve?
In hypnosis, knowing and understanding are the power. Regression while being hypnotized allows us to know and understand the root cause of any symptom we might experience. This symptom can be physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual.
Regression is an important part of hypnosis. It is the process by which you retrieve memories of events that marked your life. You go back to these events to understand what the root cause of your problem is. Although sometimes you remember a lot of details from your past, it is difficult to recall consciously what is the root cause of the problem, and here comes the role of hypnosis.
The breakthrough in Simpson Protocol is that the regression is not always required, but when required, it is very gentle. No details are necessary. No need to relive the event. The only important information is your age when the event occurred and your feelings towards it. Events, experiences, and incidents from your past can never be changed or erased, but surely you can change the meaning you give to them into a positive meaning, and you can flip the feeling into a positive one. That is the real transformation.
What is Simpson Protocol?
Simpson Protocol was created by Ines Simpson. It is a very holistic hypnosis process, as it tackles the problem the client came to resolve from all its aspects, and resolves every underlying issue of the symptom.
In Simpson Protocol, clients neither reveal the desired goal, nor the root cause of the symptom. They can even keep the feeling they get in regression, thus keeping their ultimate privacy.
Simpson Protocol is very flexible and variable. It allows the hypnotist to deal with any symptom in an easy and simple way to achieve great results, working for the highest good of the client.
The four keys that make Simpson Protocol so powerful are:
- It is a nonjudgmental therapy, as it reserves the client’s privacy and there is no need for the hypnotherapist to know about the issue.
- It upgrades and uplifts all basic emotions, which empowers the client automatically.
- If regression is needed in the session, then the only thing the hypnotist needs to know is the client’s age during the experience and their feeling. No need to relive the experience itself, thus not putting any pressure on the client.
In Simpson Protocol, we always make sure to change any negative emotion to the other side of the spectrum. This is where the magic happens.
In the process, the client lets the conscious mind to park away and gives space for the superconscious to take over, working freely and always to the best interest of the client. The hypnotherapist’s only job is to guide the session towards resolving any issue that underlies the symptom, thus opening the gateway to the client’s mental assets to make the change from within.
Simpson Protocol empowers the client and facilitates fixing any issue the client is facing. It ends up with a fully customized therapy created from the client’s innate intelligence; their superconscious mind. What is superconscious? It is the part of you that knows everything, how you came to where you are now and most importantly, it knows what made it and how to let go it for a new you.
How does the SP practitioner communicate with the client’s super conscious mind? What is an Ideo-Motor response in hypnosis?
This communication is achieved by an Ideo-Motor response. It is a great way to open up communication between the SCM and the SP practitioner in a deep level of hypnosis, in a state of “I am in a bliss, don’t bother me”, the SCM will transmit the answers through your nervous system. Hence, if you feel you are the one moving the YES/NO fingers go ahead and move them, your SCM doesn’t have threads to move them like in a puppet show.
The SP practitioner will guide you to choose the YES/NO fingers for your SCM to communicate its answers, and these will be the only answers available. Thus, it is very important for the hypnotherapist to funnel down the questions in a certain way to get only ‘YES’ and ‘NO’.
Is hypnosis a Supernatural phenomenon?
No, hypnosis is not supernatural. It is proven scientifically, but unfortunately not enough research work has been done to show its effectiveness and benefits. Hypnosis is the manifestation of the power of the mind.
Hypnosis is as natural as breathing. Everyone experiences hypnosis several times a day, and all hypnosis is self-hypnosi, this means it is up to you to allow it, but for any reason, if you choose to resist it, you will block it. So when you decide to experience hypnosis, intend it, let go, and it shall happen.
Is hypnosis condemned by regular medicine?
No, it is actually the contrary. All American, Canadian and British medical associations accept the value of hypnosis in its therapeutic form. Hypnosis is widely used when giving birth and dentistry. Even some surgeons use it to perform anesthesia-free surgeries. Many hospitals worldwide use and teach hypnosis, like Stanford Medical University, the University of Texas, and Southwestern Medical Center. A wide spectrum of insurance companies covers hypnosis for medical and dental uses, including surgeries.
In Simpson Protocol, we offer a pre and post-operation session that helps the patient in his mental situation and medical state during the operation and recovery. This means less bleeding, reduced pain, and a short time to recover.
Your body is a natural healing machine. Use the power of your mind to unleash the power of this machine.
Do I reveal my long-kept secrets in a hypnosis session?
This is the main concern that prevents people from choosing hypnosis as a therapy.
In hypnosis, you will always stay in control of what you do, say, accept or reject. Even in stage hypnosis, all participants are willingly going up the stage and ready to do the actions suggested by the hypnotist, or else they wouldn’t participate. For them, it is about having fun.
Your secrets won’t be exposed without your consent. Most importantly, in Simpson Protocol, all work is done without you needing to reveal any of your secrets, respecting your ultimate privacy.
How many sessions will I need before I see results?
Unlike psychology and psychiatry, hypnosis requires few sessions. In hypnosis, we focus on what we really want. Many clients release any symptoms within a few sessions. In some cases, one or two sessions are sufficient to achieve the desired outcome.
Hypnosis is a short-time therapy with long-lasting and profound results.
